YUNG MIAMI FACES CRITICISM FOR HER STANCE ON THE CARLEE RUSSELL INCIDENT

Yung Miami, a prominent member of the rap duo City Girls, is well-known for expressing her opinions online, regardless of the response she receives.

Recently, she weighed in on the Carlee Russell situation, involving an Alabama woman who went missing for 49 hours after reporting a toddler alone on the highway to 911. As the case is still unfolding, it remains unclear, and people are forming their own conclusions about the events behind it. Allegedly, the situation was connected to Russell’s boyfriend and some drama with other women, leading many to doubt the veracity of her story. Yung Miami joined the list of skeptics and shared her thoughts on Twitter.

“Carlee dead a** wrong!” Yung Miami stated on the social media platform. “I don’t get it. It’s already hard for black people, and incidents like this just make it harder. Smh.” She followed up with another tweet, “Y’all say everything about a man, just like y’all said that nurse ran through the red light because of her boyfriend, which was a LIE! If that was the reason, she should’ve just run away!” However, a fan pointed out some double standards in her perspective concerning her fellow City Girls member, JT. “Baby, the same way JT crashed that car into a house because of UZI shows you that women react out of emotions every day about a man,” one user replied. “So let’s not act like it doesn’t happen…”

The situation also got tangled up in a feud involving JT and one of Lil Uzi Vert‘s alleged side chicks. Despite facing backlash for her dismissive comments, Yung Miami continued to share her thoughts online. She even commented on others’ assessments of the situation, including those of Charlamagne Tha God. “THANK YOU @cthagod, everything is NOT MENTAL ILLNESS!! Some people will do anything for attention! I don’t see mental illness at all in this Carlee case!”

Moreover, she retweeted a picture of Russell with a demeaning caption: “if I send you this, just know I’m gonna be gone for a few days.” Yung Miami did not hold back in expressing her views on the issue, and only time will tell how her stance will be perceived as the case unfolds.
