CCTV Footage Allegedly Shows Music Mogul Attacking Ms. Ventura in Los Angeles Hotel

CCTV footage obtained by CNN appears to capture a disturbing incident involving music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and Ms. Cassie Ventura at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. The footage, taken from multiple angles, shows Combs chasing Ventura down a hallway clad only in a towel, attacking her near the elevators, and attempting to drag her back down the corridor.

The incident, verified by CNN through publicly available photos of the hotel’s interior, allegedly occurred around March 2016. According to the footage, after pushing Ventura to the ground, Combs retrieves a purse and suitcase from the floor. He then kicks her again as she lies on the floor.

Cassie’s lawyer Douglas Wigdor emailed this statement about the new video of Diddy.

As Ventura slowly stands and gathers items from the floor, she reaches a hotel phone near the elevators. Combs, still in a towel and socks, returns. A mirror across from the security camera shows Combs shoving Ventura and hurling an object at her.

This footage seems to corroborate several allegations made in a 2023 lawsuit filed by Ventura, in which she claimed Combs trafficked, raped, and beat her on numerous occasions over ten years. The complaint details that during the March 2016 altercation, Combs, while extremely intoxicated, punched Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye. After he fell asleep, Ventura tried to leave the room, but Combs woke up, followed her into the hallway, yelled at her, grabbed at her, and threw glass vases, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator.

DISTURBING DETAILS IN LAWSUIT

The lawsuit also alleged that Combs introduced Ventura to a “ostentatious, fast-paced, and drug-fueled lifestyle” shortly after signing her to his label in 2005 when she was 19 and he was 37. Ventura claimed that the pattern of abuse began early in their relationship and, as she tried to end it in 2018, Combs forced himself into her Los Angeles home and raped her.

The lawsuit was settled a day after it was filed for an undisclosed amount of money. Ventura told CNN she chose to “resolve this matter amicably,” while Combs’ attorney stated that the settlement was “in no way an admission of wrongdoing” and did not alter his denial of the allegations.

Representatives for Combs have been contacted for comment regarding the incident shown in the CCTV footage.

PEOPLE MAGAZINE has confirmed that Paul will avoid jail time following his arrest in March for cocaine and marijuana possession amid federal sex trafficking accusations the hip-hop mogul is facing. The 25-year-old has now entered a drug diversion program.

“Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to permit his entry into the diversion program which, after completion, the case against him will be dismissed in its entirety,” said Brian Bieber, Paul’s attorney, in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.
