North West Takes on New Role as Music Video Director for Kanye West

YE’S YOUTH CREATIVITY

North West, at just 11 years old, is proving herself to be a multi-talented force. From basketball prowess to TikTok stardom and now music video directing, she’s showcasing her diverse skills, with her latest project being a music video for her father, Kanye West.

The new music video for Vultures’ single “Talking,” directed and written by North herself, premiered on Tuesday afternoon (Apr. 30). The video features North surrounded by her friends, delivering memorable lines like “You don’t want no problems” and her iconic “It’s your bestie, Miss-Miss Westie.”

TY COLLABORATION

The latter part of the video showcases Ty singing solo in a gray room, interspersed with shots of Kanye amidst a dramatic mountain backdrop under a foreboding sky. “Talking” received rave reviews during a Vultures listening event in Miami last December, where Kanye shared the stage with artists like Lil Durk, Freddie Gibbs, Offset, and Kodak Black.

This project adds to North’s growing creative endeavors as she gears up for the release of her debut album, “Elementary School Dropout,” a nod to her father’s iconic 2004 album, “The College Dropout.”

In an interview with 13-year-old independent journalist Jazlyn “Jazzy” Guerra from Jazzy’s World TV at Rolling Loud in March, North coyly hinted at the possibility of her father making an appearance on the LP, teasing, “Maybe… we don’t know yet!”
