The Game Loses Mansion Amid Legal Battle With Priscilla Rainey
Rapper The Game has officially lost ownership of his Calabasas home as part of a longstanding legal battle with Priscilla Rainey, who accused him of sexual assault nearly a decade ago.
According to AllHipHop, a judge recently ordered the sale of the property to help satisfy a $7.13 million judgment awarded to Rainey, who originally filed the lawsuit in 2015. The allegations stemmed from The Game’s conduct during the filming of the VH1 reality series She’s Got Game. Although he denied the accusations, his failure to appear in court led to a default judgment in Rainey’s favor.
Rainey has made multiple efforts to collect on the judgment, including targeting the Calabasas residence. In 2024, she estimated the property’s value at just over $3.19 million. Legal documents filed by her attorney, Janelle M. Dease, stated there were no exemptions on the home, such as a homeowner’s or disabled veteran’s exemption, and that the property was not considered a homestead.
Further filings noted that the property was held in The Game’s legal name, Cash M. Jones, and linked to JTT Holdings—deemed an alter ego of the rapper by the court. This legal status allowed Rainey to pursue the asset as part of her collection efforts.
Following the initial lawsuit, The Game publicly denied the allegations on Instagram, dismissing Rainey’s claims and the judgment. “Don’t be fooled by these accusations or the dollar amount in the headlines,” he wrote in 2016. “She got kicked off the show & as a result she filed this lame lawsuit.”
Despite his attempts to secure a new trial, the court upheld the original ruling. The $7.13 million award includes $1.13 million in compensatory damages and an additional $6 million in punitive damages.
