Justin Timberlake Arrested for DUI; Mugshot Released

Pop star Justin Timberlake, 43, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated on Long Island, New York. The authorities released his mugshot following the incident.

Timberlake, known for hits like “SexyBack,” was reportedly dining with friends in Long Island before leaving a restaurant and getting pulled over by police. He was arrested around 12:37 a.m. on Tuesday while driving a 2025 BMW.

Sag Harbor Police Chief Robert Drake stated Timberlake failed to stop at a stop sign and struggled to stay in his lane. Court documents revealed Timberlake’s eyes were “bloodshot and glassy,” and officers noted a strong odor of alcohol from his breath. He exhibited slowed speech, instability, and performed poorly on all field sobriety tests.

Timberlake admitted to officers he had consumed one martini and was following friends home. He refused to take a breath test after being taken to a police station in East Hampton. “I had one martini and I followed my friends home,” Timberlake allegedly told the officer who stopped him, according to the BBC‘s US partner CBS News.

The singer was arraigned later that Tuesday in Sag Harbor, located at the eastern end of Long Island, and subsequently released, as per the Suffolk County district attorney’s office. His next court date is set for July 26. Requests for comments from Timberlake’s representatives have not yet been returned.

TIMBERLAND ON TOUR

Sag Harbor, a coastal village in the Hamptons, is about 100 miles (160 km) from New York City and is a popular summer destination for wealthy visitors.

Timberlake had been scheduled to perform in Chicago this week, followed by two shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden next week. His “The Forget Tomorrow World Tour” will continue in Boston, Baltimore, and Cleveland before heading to Europe later in the summer. The European leg starts in Krakow, Poland, on July 26, and includes stops in Birmingham, Manchester, and London in August.

In March, Timberlake released his latest solo album, “Everything I Thought It Was.” Timberlake, who began his career as a Disney Mouseketeer alongside Britney Spears, has maintained a prominent presence in the music industry.
