Rihanna Shuts Down Reporter Over Insensitive Question

Rihanna wasn’t about to let an insensitive question slide.

Following ASAP Rocky’s acquittal, no one was more relieved than Rihanna—his longtime partner and the mother of their two sons, RZA and Riot. Throughout the intense trial, she stood firmly by his side, supporting him at every turn. Now, with the case behind them, the couple can finally move forward.

“The glory belongs to God and God alone. Thankful. Humbled by his mercy!” Rihanna shared on Instagram after the verdict. The moment Rocky was declared not guilty, he wasted no time leaping over the railing in the courtroom and embracing her.

During the proceedings, Rocky expressed deep gratitude, telling the judge, “Thank y’all for saving my life. Thank you for making the right decision.” He echoed the same sentiments at a press conference outside the courthouse.

“This whole experience has been crazy for the past four years,” he said. “I’m thankful, and it’s a blessing to be here right now as a free man, talking to y’all.”

Rihanna Claps Back at a Reporter

However, the celebratory mood was momentarily disrupted when a reporter—hidden from sight—blurted out a question that many found insensitive.

“ASAP, how does it feel losing your childhood friend?”

With emotions still raw, Rihanna wasn’t having it. She immediately fired back, “How you think it feel?” The sharp response quickly went viral, with fans praising her for shutting down the intrusive question.

Many felt the timing was inappropriate, considering Rocky had just narrowly avoided a 24-year prison sentence over allegations from former friend ASAP Relli, who accused him of firing a semiautomatic weapon at him.

Now, with the trial behind them, Rihanna and Rocky can finally focus on their future—together and free.
