Pop Smoke’s Alleged Killer Seen in the Studio with LA Rappers

The tragic death of Pop Smoke in 2020 remains a deeply painful event in hip-hop. The young rapper was fatally shot during a home invasion, allegedly involving several individuals. Among them, Corey Walker, the only adult defendant, is still awaiting trial, while another suspect, known as Blockstar, who was just 15 at the time, was released in June of this year.

Since his release, Blockstar has made several controversial remarks, particularly during his interview with No Jumper, where he admitted to feeling no remorse and even suggested he got off easy. Despite the backlash, Blockstar seems to be enjoying his newfound freedom. A recent video shared by Akademiks TV on X shows him in the studio with various LA rappers.

FRosTydaSnowMann, Peysoh, and Other LA Rappers Reportedly Embrace Pop Smoke Murder Suspect

Reports indicate that among the artists seen in the studio with Blockstar were FRosTydaSnowMann, Peysoh, and others. Fans have expressed outrage at seeing these rappers seemingly embrace Blockstar, especially so soon after what would have been Pop Smoke’s 25th birthday. The incident also follows a heartfelt interview with Pop Smoke’s mother, Audrey Jackson, on Tap In With TT, where she addressed Blockstar’s disrespectful comments about her son and his death. She shared that while it’s painful to hear Blockstar speak about the murder so callously, she tries not to let it consume her.

“The bottom line is, your life is over,” Jackson said about Blockstar. “He’s living, but if that’s his approach to what he’s done, life is done for him.” The sight of Blockstar being welcomed by LA rappers has sparked intense reactions online, with many questioning how someone connected to Pop Smoke’s death could be so openly accepted. What are your thoughts on one of Pop Smoke’s alleged killers being embraced by LA’s rap community?
