KIM KARDASHIAN REFLECTS ON TESTIFYING AT MURDER TRIAL AT AGE 14

Kim Kardashian recently opened up about her experience testifying at a murder trial when she was just 14 years old, shortly after the O.J. Simpson controversy. Speaking with Vogue Italia, the reality star shared her recollections of taking the stand in 1998 during the trial of Dee Dee Jackson, the mother of her former boyfriend Tito Jackson.

During the interview, Kardashian was asked about her upbringing in Los Angeles, to which she described it as “hectic.” She mentioned that her father was involved in various trials, which added intensity to her life. Additionally, she revealed that her boyfriend’s mother, whom she had a close relationship with, was murdered in 1994, leading her to become involved in the subsequent trial.

Dee Dee Jackson, also known as Delores, was the wife of Tito Jackson, a guitarist for the Jackson 5. Her lifeless body was discovered in the swimming pool of her boyfriend Don Bohana’s California residence. Reflecting on this tragic event, Kardashian expressed how overwhelming it was to go through such an experience at a young age, especially considering it happened in close proximity to the O.J. Simpson trial. She described the situation as having multiple layers of complexity.

When asked if she actively participated in the trial, the founder of SKIMS confirmed her involvement. She shared that she had to testify and was present in court every day alongside her boyfriend. Considering her age at the time, Kardashian acknowledged the unique and challenging circumstances she faced.

GUILTY OF MURDER

Four years after Dee Dee’s tragic death, Don Bohana was found guilty of her murder and received a sentence of 15 years to life. He has since spent 19 years in a California prison.

As detectives tried to talk with Bohana, who was incoherent, his ex-wife Sheila arrived. After she helped settle him down, Bohana told officers that he and Dee Dee had had drinks and gone for a dip in the pool.

He claimed that Dee Dee was a good swimmer, capable of doing an “Olympic style turn,” but he said he himself was not a strong swimmer, according to “Accident, Suicide or Murder.” He claimed that Dee Dee was swimming alone and began to struggle.

“She was just flailing and it was too violent for me to have jumped in the pool to have saved her,” he said, according to Brian Oxman, the Jackson family lawyer.
