Cassie’s Attorney Challenges Diddy’s Claims of Tampered Assault Footage

Cassie’s attorney is forcefully rejecting Sean “Diddy” Combs’ assertion that the recently surfaced footage of him assaulting her in a hotel hallway has been altered. The lawyer describes Diddy’s argument as “disingenuous” and remains confident that the video will be accepted as evidence in the upcoming trial.

Douglas Wigdor, who represents Cassie, stated that Diddy’s attempt to discredit the footage is unsurprising, given the disturbing nature of the content. Wigdor maintains that the video “fairly and accurately represents what happened” and asserts that Combs “will be held accountable for his depravity.”

Combs’ legal team, however, claims that CNN, the network that first aired the video, allegedly tampered with the footage by modifying the time stamp, changing the sequence of events, and increasing the playback speed. They argue that the original copy was destroyed, making it impossible to verify the authenticity of the recording. As a result, Diddy’s lawyers are pushing to have the video excluded from the trial, insisting that its credibility has been compromised.

Despite the fact that Diddy is not facing prosecution for the 2016 assault captured in the footage, federal prosecutors plan to use the video to demonstrate a pattern of violent behavior. Cassie’s legal team is confident that Diddy’s motion to suppress the video will be denied, allowing the footage to serve as crucial evidence in the case.
