Nicki Minaj Faces Potential Loss of Los Angeles Mansion Over $500K Unpaid Judgment

The rapper and her husband Kenneth Petty could lose their Los Angeles home after failing to pay a 2021 legal judgment.

Nicki Minaj’s week continues to worsen as new legal troubles threaten her luxury Los Angeles home. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the rap superstar and her husband Kenneth Petty may lose their mansion due to an unpaid court judgment exceeding $500,000.

The issue stems from a 2021 lawsuit filed by German security guard Thomas Weidenmuller, who claimed he was assaulted by Petty during one of Minaj’s concerts in Frankfurt, Germany. Weidenmuller also alleges that Minaj herself was involved in the incident.

After the couple reportedly failed to respond to the suit, a judge awarded Weidenmuller a default judgment of $503,318.02. Despite repeated collection attempts, he has yet to receive payment. In a new motion, Weidenmuller is now seeking to enforce the judgment through the sale of Minaj’s Los Angeles property.

THE WORTH OF THE PROPERTY

“The property’s current fair market value is appraised at $20 million, yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption,” the motion states. “That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment, plus accrued interest and enforcement costs.”

The motion further argues, “There is no doubt that the sale of the dwelling would satisfy the entire judgment—with millions to spare.” It adds that the forced sale is “entirely the product of [Minaj’s] intransigence in not making payment.”

Weidenmuller’s filing also highlights Minaj’s financial capability, noting her estimated net worth between $150 and $190 million and status as one of the highest-paid female rap artists in the world. “There is little doubt that she is highly capable of paying the judgment in full,” it states, “and yet, she has refused to do so despite multiple written requests for payment.”

As of now, the judge has not ruled on the motion, leaving the future of Minaj’s $20 million mansion uncertain.
