WWE May Hold Two WrestleMania Events in 2027 — Saudi Arabia Rumored as Host
WWE Reportedly Considering Two WrestleMania Events in the Same Year — Including a Show in Saudi Arabia
WrestleMania, WWE’s biggest spectacle of the year, could be going truly global in a groundbreaking way. A new report suggests there’s a strong push for the event to be hosted in Saudi Arabia — a move that could result in two separate WrestleMania events taking place within the same calendar year according to reports.
WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia?
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, officials in Saudi Arabia believe they are on track to host WrestleMania in 2027. The report also claims the Kingdom already has a dream headliner in mind — none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Rather than replacing the traditional North American WrestleMania, the plan being discussed would see the company hold one domestic edition and a second international version in Saudi Arabia, marking an unprecedented move for WWE’s flagship event.
A Major Step in WWE’s Saudi Partnership
Since 2018, WWE has maintained a lucrative 10-year partnership with Saudi Arabia, staging major premium live events like Crown Jewel and King & Queen of the Ring. These shows have consistently featured top-tier matchups and have become staples of the WWE calendar.
While the arrangement has sparked debate among fans and critics, it has proven to be a major financial success for WWE’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings. For Saudi Arabia, securing WrestleMania — often dubbed “WWE’s Super Bowl” — would represent a massive achievement in global sports and entertainment prestige.
Part of WWE’s Global Expansion
The concept of an international WrestleMania aligns with WWE’s ongoing global expansion. In recent years, the company has taken major events to stadiums in Puerto Rico, France, Germany, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Bringing WrestleMania to a worldwide stage seems like the next natural evolution.
And if there’s one name that could make the Saudi WrestleMania a must-watch, it’s The Rock. As a Hollywood megastar, a wrestling legend, and a member of the TKO Board of Directors, he is the ultimate ambassador for WWE. His return to the ring earlier this year as “The Final Boss” drew huge ratings and box office numbers, proving that his star power remains unmatched in the wrestling world.
If these discussions come to fruition, 2027 could be the year WrestleMania officially becomes a twice-a-year global phenomenon.
