YoungBoy Never Broke Again Arrested Again On Charges
YoungBoy Never Broke Again has found himself in legal trouble once again, this time in Utah, where he was arrested on various charges, including drug possession and identity theft.
The Cache County Sheriff’s Office detained NBA YoungBoy on Tuesday (April 16), as revealed by arrest documents obtained by XXL. Among the charges leveled against the rapper are identity theft, forgery, attempting to obtain prescription drugs unlawfully, possession of controlled substances, possession of a dangerous weapon by a prohibited person, and engaging in a pattern of unlawful activity.
This arrest adds another layer to YoungBoy’s legal entanglements, as he already faces federal gun charges. Legal proceedings were temporarily halted in March awaiting a decision from the U.S. Supreme Court regarding Second Amendment rights later this spring.
The Baton Rouge native was indicted in March 2021 after authorities allegedly found him in possession of two firearms while filming a music video in his hometown. Despite a federal jury in Los Angeles clearing him of knowingly possessing a firearm in July 2022, YoungBoy received a sentence of strict house arrest in Utah. In December 2023, his conditions were adjusted to allow mental health treatment but denied him further access to a recording studio.
This recent arrest follows a motion filed by the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana, Ronald C. Gathe Jr., asserting that the hip hop artist violated his pre-trial release conditions. Court documents from February revealed that his drug use breached the terms of his 2021 firearms case in Louisiana.
The violation came to light after YoungBoy posted a photo on social media in February lying on the ground surrounded by prescription pills. A subsequent image showed him with a mouthful of pills a few days later.
