XXXTENTACION's Son Mocked By His Killer Online

XXXTENTACION fans in uproar over post by DJ Akademiks.

Michael Boatwright, one of the three men sentenced to life for the murder of rapper XXXTENTACION, has been making headlines again. Disturbing videos have surfaced on the internet, reposted by DJ Akademiks on his djakademikstv account. These posts feature Boatwright, along with Dedrick Williams, 26, and Trayvon Newsome, 24, who were all sentenced to life in prison last spring for first-degree murder and armed robbery.

In the first clip, Boatwright is heard saying, “they need to free a real one, man.” The video then cuts to footage of XXXTENTACION’s son, Gekyume, with the caption, “that’s my dad😊.” The child runs to a shelf and points to an object that is not clearly visible. Boatwright shared this on his Instagram Story with two laughing emojis, “😂😂”.

In the second video, Boatwright is seen counting the cash he stole during the robbery outside a South Florida motorcycle shop on June 18, 2018, where he and his accomplices made off with $50,000. Fans expressed their outrage and disgust, criticizing DJ Akademiks for reposting the videos.

One user angrily commented, “Lettem have it. X is revered greatly. This guy will spend the rest of his days sneaking on his phone in under his cot or in his undies and hittin b**sy.” Another accused Akademiks of seeking revenge, stating, “This old ain’t no way u gon disrespect x nd his family cus drake got a song played in his city.” The insensitive nature of the posts led one fan to declare, “Unfollowing smh.”
