Shawn Michaels & Kendrick Similarities With Drake & Bret Hart
WWE legend Shawn Michaels aka Heartbreak Kid has reacted to Kendrick Lamar using “Sweet Chin Music” in dissing Drake on “Not Like Us.”
As of the publication date of May 6, Lamar has remained silent in response to recent events. However, just two days prior, on May 4, he unveiled “Not Like Us,” his fourth diss track directed at Drake, marking the third release within a span of less than 48 hours.
The track, set to an uptempo beat crafted by renowned hip-hop producer DJ Mustard, continues Lamar’s verbal assault on the Toronto-based rapper. It includes insinuations about Drake’s alleged involvement with young women, suggesting misconduct that hints at pedophilia.
LYRIC SHOOT
In a sharp lyrical jab, Lamar rhymes, “Say, Drake, I hear you like ‘em young / You better not ever go to cell block one.” He further critiques Drake’s 2021 album “Certified Lover Boy,” dubbing it “Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles.”
Lamar’s latest offering swiftly followed his response to Drake’s third diss track, “Family Matters,” titled “Meet the Grahams.” In this track, Lamar suggests that Drake is neglecting paternal responsibilities, implying he’s concealing the existence of a daughter from the public eye.
“You lied about your son, you lied about your daughter, huh, you lied about them other kids that’s out there hoping that you come,” Lamar asserts in his lyrics.
FAMILY MATTERS
Additionally, Lamar takes aim at Drake‘s personal life, alleging familial issues and even speculating about cosmetic enhancements. He rhymes, “Get some discipline, don’t cut them corners like your daddy did. F— what Ozempic did. Don’t pay to play with them Brazilians, get a gym membership.”
Drake’s response, “Family Matters,” arrived shortly after Lamar’s “6:16 in LA” diss track dropped on May 3. In his retaliation, Drake insinuates a troubled dynamic between Lamar and his fiancée Whitney Alford, suggesting abuse and infidelity.
“You the Black messiah wifing up a mixed queen / And hit vanilla cream to help out with your self-esteem / On some Bobby s—, I wanna know what Whitney need,” Drake spits in his verse, later posing questions about Lamar’s conduct towards his partner.
SHAWN MICHAELS ORIGINAL MIC SHOOTER
In the world of pro wrestling, having the talent to use words to downplay their challengers is a must. The Rock returned to the business earlier this year for WrestleMania and showed his mic skills were still as impressive as it was years ago when he left for Hollywood.
Shawn Michaels is a legend that used in what is called “shoots” in pro wrestling to take aim at the WWE’s competition at the time in WCW during the 90s. As World Championship Wrestling was rising in ratings and putting a beating on WWE, Shawn Michaels was one of the top performers that took on the greats of Hulk Hogan and his Kliq buddies in Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.
