WrestleMania is the premier annual professional wrestling event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It’s considered the biggest event in professional wrestling and often referred to as the “Super Bowl of wrestling.”

Held in 1987 at the Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan, it set an indoor attendance record with over 93,000 fans. The event featured the iconic match between Hulk Hogan and André the Giant. The event has been held outside of United States in 1990 and 2002 in Toronto which both featured Hulk Hogan against Ultimate Warrior and The Rock.

Now the event may be coming to the United Kingdom making history of being the first show outside of North America after the following press release:

WrestleMania has delivered more than $1.25 billion in economic impact for its host cities, with this year’s event in Philadelphia attracting over 145,000 fans from 64 countries. There is a lot that needs to be discussed further but we share the ambition of Mayor Khan in trying to bring a stand-out WWE Premium Live event to London.”

JOHN CENA REACTS TO THE ANNOUNCEMENT

John Cena surfaced on social media on Friday morning to comment on WWE possibly bringing WrestleMania to the England market for the first time ever, something he spoke about in an in-ring promo for WWE during a surprise appearance at last year’s WWE Money In The Bank premium live event.

“The city of London, and all of the UK has supported WWE thru thick and thin,” Cena wrote via X. “I try to minimize using the word “deserve” so I will use more appropriate terms.”
