Travis Scott Teases New Track During WWE Smackdown

Could a new album be on the horizon?

Travis Scott continues to stay busy. The Houston rapper is currently on his CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour, where he recently surprised fans by bringing out The Weeknd and thanking him for his influence on his career. But on October 18, Scott took his workload up a notch. Even while performing in Sydney, he managed to premiere a snippet of an unreleased song during WWE Smackdown.

Though Scott wasn’t physically present, his signature production style echoed through the arena. The new track played during a segment featuring Roman Reigns and the Usos, as Reigns and Jimmy Uso arrived in a car blasting Scott’s music. While the lyrics were hard to make out, the heavy, infectious production was unmistakable. Scott’s adlibs briefly surfaced, and there’s a good chance Quavo might be featured on the track as well. For anyone uncertain if they were hearing something brand new, the wrestlers made it clear. “Yo Reigns,” Jimmy Uso remarked, “That new Travis Scott is lit. I don’t think I’ve ever heard that one.”

Roman Reigns responded with a smirk: “That’s because it ain’t out yet.” Scott has been dropping hints about new music since his September interview with Cultured Magazine. During that conversation, he revealed he was back in “album mode,” despite being in the middle of his tour. “I’m gonna be back in New York. I’m back in album mode,” Scott shared. “I’ve been working on music and sht every day on tour. When I’m doing the stadiums, because they’re sold out, I can see the music for what it is. I’m fcking amped.”

In another interview, Scott mentioned that performing in smaller venues has sparked new ideas for his music. “Doing these smaller shows has been inspiring me to take the music somewhere else,” he explained. “And really deliver it to what the fans need and want.” There’s no official release date for this new track yet, but given that Scott just dropped UTOPIA in 2023, it’s hard to complain. With Travis clearly in the creative zone, fans are eagerly waiting to hear the full version of the song teased on WWE Smackdown.
