Travis Scott Shares His Thoughts on Kanye West Amid Their Tension
Kanye West has recently expressed some negative feelings about Travis Scott, so how does La Flame feel about the situation?
In the 2010s, Travis Scott and Kanye West were practically inseparable. Together, they made hit music, collaborating on tracks, producing, and writing for each other. However, their relationship seems to have cooled in recent times, especially from Kanye’s side. West has been vocal about feeling betrayed by his once-mentee, sharing his frustrations during several Twitter rants over the past couple of months. One particularly harsh tirade seemed to push Scott to a breaking point.
In early February, Travis Scott unfollowed Kanye on Instagram, a gesture that still stands today. West also aired out his grievances with Scott during an interview with DJ Akademiks, accusing him of removing his contributions from the Wyoming recordings without explanation. “He took four of my songs from the ranch in Wyoming. Replaced me, took me off, I felt, with no explanation. Sh*t just comes out,” West claimed while wearing a controversial outfit.

Despite the tension, Travis Scott has remained silent on the matter—until now. In a recent interview with Complex, Scott opened up about his relationship with Kanye, which seemed to be positive just before things began to sour. This interview took place shortly after the two celebrated together at the GRAMMYs, when they were still on good terms.
When asked about Kanye, Scott had nothing negative to say, even as West’s behavior was becoming more erratic on social media. “Sht, man. That’s my kid’s uncle. That guy took me in when I was young, when I was like 19. He taught me a lot about music. And not even just ‘taught’ me, but he allowed me to experience the creation of music. To create music with him, it’s what helped me grow, making a lot of beats. Whether it’s writing and collabing on music and film or clothes or whatever the fck it is, just constantly learning…” Scott said.
He also touched on other topics, including his upcoming album, JACKBOYS 2, and Sheck Wes’ next project. Though no release dates have been confirmed, it seems like a big summer is ahead for Scott and his fans.
