Tory Lanez to Be Deposed in Megan Thee Stallion’s Defamation Lawsuit
Tory Lanez will be questioned under oath from behind bars as part of Megan Thee Stallion’s ongoing defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz.
Judge Approves Tory Lanez Deposition
On Monday (Feb. 24), Megan’s legal team filed a motion in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, seeking to depose Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, in relation to the lawsuit. Court documents obtained by TMZ confirm that the judge has granted the request.
Megan Thee Stallion’s Lawsuit and Restraining Order
Megan Thee Stallion initially filed suit against Milagro Gramz in October 2024, accusing the blogger of disseminating false information about her online at Tory’s direction, as well as sharing an “altered sexual depiction” of her. In December, Megan amended the lawsuit, alleging that Tory continued orchestrating harassment against her despite serving a 10-year prison sentence for her shooting.
“Mr. Peterson’s prison call logs demonstrate that he has repeatedly discussed [Milagro Gramz] with his father,” the court filing states. “In one phone call, the Petersons confidently asserted that Ms. Pete would be unable to prove that Mr. Peterson paid Defendant for attacking Ms. Pete.”
Megan has since obtained a restraining order against Tory, which remains in effect until 2030.
Tory Lanez is currently serving his sentence at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi.
Here’s the proposed order they want the judge to sign. It’s likely to be granted, particularly with no opposition form Lanez’s or Milagro’s lawyers.
