Tory Lanez Alleges He Took the Fall for Kelsey Harris in Megan Thee Stallion Case

In a recent revelation, media personality Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked shared text messages he allegedly received from Tory Lanez, in which Lanez claims he took the blame for the 2020 shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion to protect Kelsey Harris. In the messages, Lanez reported by  stated:

“I took the rap for Kelsey, never wanted her to go to jail and I never wanted Megan to get hurt or anything, so in me stopping her from getting shot I got the raw deal.”

Tory Lanez further expressed frustration over suppressed evidence during his trial, asserting that DNA tests excluded him from the firearm used in the incident.

“It’s honestly a bunch of suppressed evidence that was kept away from me during trial. Like, through trial they keep saying it was inconclusive on the gun DNA, but I always knew I never touched the gun, so I asked my lawyer to retest it. And sure enough… I was a 102% excluded completely, from everything just like I said”

Legal Team Presents New Evidence Questioning Lanez’s Conviction

Lanez’s legal team has recently presented new evidence suggesting that he did not fire the weapon that injured Megan Thee Stallion. At a press conference, they claimed that the trial was influenced by bias and media pressure, and called on California Governor Gavin Newsom to intervene as reported by
FOX 11 Los Angeles.

They also highlighted inconsistencies in witness testimonies and the handling of forensic evidence, arguing that these factors contributed to an unfair trial.

Megan Thee Stallion Responds to Ongoing Harassment

Following the release of the alleged text messages and renewed public discourse, Megan Thee Stallion addressed the continued harassment she has faced. In a recent statement, she reaffirmed that Lanez was found guilty in court and criticized those who question her account of the events.

She emphasized the emotional toll the incident and subsequent media coverage have taken on her, expressing dismay at how the situation has seemingly benefited Lanez’s public image.

Lanez Recovering After Prison Stabbing

On May 12, 2025, Lanez was hospitalized after being stabbed 14 times by a fellow inmate at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. The attack resulted in collapsed lungs and multiple injuries. Lanez has since been stabilized and is expected to recover.

In response to the incident, rapper Drake shared a petition advocating for Lanez’s pardon, stating, “Come home soon,” on his Instagram story.
