Tory Lanez using prison time on developing more education.

Tory Lanez is focused on his education and personal growth while serving his sentence. Recently, Lanez revealed that he graduated from high school while incarcerated for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. In a phone interview with Adin Ross over the weekend, he provided fans with an update on his well-being.

“I’m great,” Lanez shared. “A lot of people might think that being in prison means you’re in a corner somewhere, bawling your eyes out. But I’m in a great space mentally, bettering myself in every single way.” He added, “I just graduated high school and enrolled in college. I never thought I’d do that. But I’m taking this moment and making the most of it. As a high school dropout who just graduated, that means a lot to me. It’s the small things that have me feeling good about life right now.”

Besides focusing on his education, Lanez has been working on his music. He recently announced that he discovered a way to release new music while behind bars. “I’ve cracked the code,” he said in an Instagram post. “Not even these prison walls can stop me from dropping new music. It’s crazy!” He released his first project since his guilty verdict, “Prison Tapes,” last week and confirmed he plans to release new music every week.
