Toronto Rapper Top5 Threatens Kendrick Lamar’s Life Again

Drake Affiliate Top5 Makes Controversial Comments About Kendrick Lamar

Top5, a known associate of Drake, has sparked outrage once again by making incendiary remarks about Kendrick Lamar. During a live stream with DJ Akademiks, Top5 vented his frustration at another individual on the call and unexpectedly dragged Kendrick Lamar into the conversation. “There’s two n****s I need dead, you and Kendrick,” he said, a statement that quickly gained traction on social media.

The reaction on X (formerly Twitter) was swift and polarized. One user remarked, “Drake got these Canadians feeling themselves and talking greasy real crazy. I thought y’all were nice & polite up there.” Another user added, “Everybody like ‘omg why he talking like that’…and I’m like…‘no don’t stop…please keep talking!’ I literally want to see this train fly straight off the cliff & into the ocean!! Don’t tell him to shut up, let that n***a talk!!! Cheers…”

History of Threats Against Kendrick Lamar

This is not the first time Top5 has made threatening comments about Kendrick Lamar. During an October appearance on Late Night With Liyah Mai, he issued a provocative warning, daring Lamar to visit Toronto. “Tell him to come to Toronto. Swiss cheese,” Top5 said, implying violent intent. He elaborated with, “I’ll get the low, put on my Nike tech black, tell YG to get us a driver, put the window down, and get some fresh air.” He then admonished those who brought up Lamar’s name, saying, “How disrespectful are y’all to ask me about Kendrick Lamar? Drake’s a bad boy.”

Top5’s remarks included staunch support for Drake, framing Lamar as an adversary. “Don’t disrespect my homie Drake like that,” he warned.

Timing of the Remarks

Top5’s latest comments come shortly after Kendrick Lamar’s surprise release of his sixth studio album, GNX, on November 22. The project has fueled discussion, particularly for its perceived references to Lamar’s ongoing feud with Drake. Meanwhile, Drake has taken legal action against Universal Music Group in connection with the diss track “Not Like Us.”

The escalating tensions between these figures have captivated fans and critics alike. For now, the inflammatory rhetoric from Top5 adds another layer of controversy to an already complex feud.
