Toronto Rapper Top5 Arrested On Firearm Charges

Toronto rapper Top5 was arrested on Jan. 24 and charged with various weapons charges, the Toronto Sun reports.

He was one of two men taken into custody after a search warrant was executed on a Toronto home. He has been charged with careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device; possession of a weapon; unauthorized possession of a firearm; possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized; and possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition. Last September, Top was released from jail after charges were dropped against him in connection to a 2021 murder.

Hassan Ali, a 26-year-old Toronto man who performs as Top 5, was arrested after officers executed a search warrant in the Enterprise Boulevard and Birchmount Road area of Markham, Toronto police said in a news release.

Ali faces five charges, including possession of a restricted weapon with ammunition and careless storage of a weapon, police said.
