Top5 Wants to Send a "Care Package" to Kanye West's Home

Toronto rapper and Drake affiliate Top5 has reportedly been trying to connect with Kanye West for some time. Now, it seems he’s finally gotten through—though not in the way he may have hoped.

Despite his controversial social media antics and polarizing statements, Kanye West remains a highly respected artist. Many consider him to have the most classic albums in hip-hop history, and his influence spans multiple decades. While he’s not as active in production as he once was, Ye’s legacy as a dual threat—both as a producer and rapper—is undeniable. Top5 appears to be one of those who still hold him in high regard, as seen in a series of text messages he recently shared amid one of Ye’s latest Twitter tirades.

West’s recent posts have largely revolved around his ongoing custody battle with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. However, Top5’s leaked messages show he was more focused on getting Kanye’s attention—whether through a potential collaboration or simply by sending him new music. In his texts, Top5 demanded a response from the Chicago legend, but Ye seemed unimpressed, responding sarcastically:

“Top 5, where’s the 30 phone calls in a row now that I posted the weird ass threatening text?”

The so-called “threats” included messages from Top5 such as:

“Ask about me, Yeeeeee.”
“That’s disrespectful where I’m from to question who I am!!”
“I’m Him.”

Top5 even compared his current moment in music to one of Kanye’s most iconic eras, saying, “I’m in my ‘Through the Wire’ phase. Get to know me.” He concluded his messages with, “The industry is small, and the h*es make it even smaller. Give me a call, I feel disrespected.”

Judging by Kanye’s public reaction, he has yet to respond to any of these messages. Could this be because of Top5’s close ties to Drake? It’s possible. Kanye and Drake have had a long and complicated relationship—fluctuating between rivalry and respect. Recently, Ye admitted to harboring jealousy towards Drake, even saying:

“I saw a video of Drake walking through his house and showing he had a library of rhyme books. Man, I wish I could have seen and remembered this when my jealousy overtook me… I love Drake. Ima say this: when I die, I need you to speak at my funeral.”

In another attempt to engage with Ye, Top5 asked for his address and even inquired whether Kanye’s wife, Bianca Censori, had a hot sister for him.

Meanwhile, Kanye West has been making headlines for his latest string of social media attacks—targeting celebrities, industry peers, and even his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. His posts, which many believe are meant to generate buzz for his upcoming album Bully, have drawn mixed reactions.

Jay-Z & Beyoncé: Ye took shots at the power couple and even mentioned their children, Rumi and Sir. Though he later deleted the posts, he admitted regretting doing so—not because of their content, but because, in his words, “no one, including Jay-Z, has power over me.” Neither Jay-Z nor Beyoncé have responded.
Playboi Carti: Kanye accused Carti of domestic violence and expressed frustration over not being invited to feature on Carti’s album—despite allegedly being asked to include his daughter, North West, on it. Carti’s blunt response? “YE STFU,” which garnered over 313,000 likes.
