Top5 Threatens Kendrick Lamar Over Drake Feud
The conflict is taking a concerning turn.
Toronto rapper Top5, who recently had his legal fees covered by Drake to help beat a murder charge, has returned to making violent threats—at least verbally. In a shocking escalation, Top5 has now targeted Kendrick Lamar, who has been seen as a rival to Drake in the ongoing feud. During a recent livestream, Top5 threatened Kendrick Lamar, and he didn’t stop there. In a recent appearance on Late Night with Liyah Mai, Top5 went even further, threatening a drive-by shooting if Kendrick ever steps foot in Toronto. This situation is quickly spiraling out of control, and we can only hope these threats remain empty for everyone’s safety.
“Tell him to come to Toronto—Swiss cheese,” Top5 said, referring to Kendrick Lamar. “I’ll get the drop, put on my black Nike tech, get YG to find us a driver, roll the window down, and get some fresh air. How disrespectful are y’all to ask me about Kendrick Lamar? Drake’s the real deal. There’s a girl right there—you want her to handle it? Don’t ever disrespect my boy Drake like that.” Mai had suggested that Kendrick might have bested Drake in their ongoing rivalry, which sent Top5 into a rage.
KENDRICK CAN’T STEP INTO TORONTO RESTAURANT
Previously, during a livestream with Adin Ross and DJ Akademiks, Top5 had already issued similar threats. “I’m looking for Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar,” he declared. “I’m doing my homework, keeping tabs on them. Nothing incriminating, just watching. I want Metro Boomin in a one-on-one fight—no weapons, just me knocking him out. And as for Kendrick? He better not cross the border. Chubbs called me. I swear I’ll quit rapping if Kendrick steps into New Ho King [a Toronto restaurant] without 20 police officers. Don’t test my gangster. You saw what happened to DJ Drama.”
Top5 didn’t stop there, hinting at an upcoming project with Drake. “Me and Drake are linking up in a few days for a podcast. We’re going to play the ‘Not Like Us’ video, and we’re going to review everyone in it. We’ll do our homework on them. I don’t play around when it comes to Aubrey. That’s my brother, my Jewish brother—shalom.”
As tensions rise, we can only hope that cooler heads prevail and that both sides avoid any serious escalation.
