Tito Jackson’s Family & Friends Mourn At His Los Angeles Funeral

Tito Jackson, an original member of the Jackson 5, was laid to rest following his passing at age 70. The musician died on September 15 after experiencing a medical emergency in New Mexico, as confirmed by the Gallup Police Department.

The funeral service took place on Monday, November 4, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. Among those gathered to honor Tito’s memory were his family and close friends. Michael Jackson‘s children, Paris and Bigi (formerly known as Blanket), attended the service. Paris, 26, wore a black dress with matching boots, while 22-year-old Bigi donned a black suit with a white shirt and tie.

Other family members present included La Toya Jackson, Marlon Jackson, and Jermaine Jackson’s children, Jaafar and Jermajesty. Additionally, Kimora Lee Simmons, the former wife of music mogul Russell Simmons, was also in attendance, according to reports from the New York Post‘s Page Six.

Tito’s passing occurred after he suffered a medical emergency at a shopping center in Gallup, New Mexico. The Gallup Police Department reported receiving a call about a person in need of medical assistance near the American Heritage Plaza around 6:15 p.m. on September 15. Tito was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

PARIS JACKSON PAYS TRIBUTE TO UNCLE

In a poignant moment at the funeral, Michael Jackson’s children—Paris, Bigi, and Prince—dressed in somber black attire, paid tribute to their late uncle. The Jackson family has since shared their grief and cherished memories on social media. Paris posted on Instagram, “Rest in transition Uncle Tito,” while Prince shared a collection of family photos, captioned, “Love you forever Poppa T.”

Responding to the support from fans and family, Tito’s son, TJ, expressed gratitude, writing, “He always spoke so highly [of] you, Prince, and was so proud of the man you have become and your love for family. Thank you for being such a great nephew to him.”

Tito Jackson’s legacy continues to be celebrated as his family and fans remember the joy and music he brought into their lives.
