After A Bronx Tale, Hicks starred in several films with top names in Hollywood. She plays alongside Sean Connery and Laurence Fishburne in the 1995 movie Just Cause. Taral Hicks is also a singer and played a part in The Preacher’s wife with the legendary Whitney Houston and Denzel Washington in 1996. Hip hop fans will remember her as DMX‘s character’s girlfriend Keisha in Belly in 1998.

In 1997, Taral Hicks ventured into music with her debut (and only) album This Time, released under Motown Records. The album featured the R&B single “Ooh, Ooh Baby”, which was written and produced by Missy Elliott. Though the album didn’t achieve major success, Hicks’ smooth vocals and potential as a singer were widely acknowledged.
Later Life
Hicks eventually transitioned away from the entertainment industry and focused on other endeavors, including education. She reportedly became a teacher while still making occasional appearances in films and stage plays.
