T-Boz Gives Update On Her Condition After Tour Dates Cancelled

TLC Cancels New York State Fair Performance Due to T-Boz’s Hospitalization

TLC was scheduled to perform at the New York State Fair in Syracuse on August 23, but the duo had to cancel after T-Boz (Tionne Watkins) was hospitalized for a severe abdominal blockage. A performance set for the same night at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut was also canceled due to her health condition.

T-Boz has since addressed the situation. Over the weekend, she posted an update on Instagram, writing, “I’m on the mend!!! This was just one of those unexpected things that I had no control over! I look forward to making it up to you all… and hopefully, I’ll get out of the hospital soon!!! As soon as tomorrow if all goes well!!! Thank you for understanding… Blessings always, T [heart emoji].”

TLC STATEMENT

TLC had previously announced the cancellations in a statement, explaining, “After delivering an electrifying performance in Toledo, Ohio, on Thursday, TLC was eagerly anticipating their next stop at the New York State Fair in Syracuse. However, shortly after arriving, Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins experienced sudden and severe nausea, vomiting, and intense abdominal cramps. She was immediately seen by a doctor and taken to the hospital for further evaluation. Last evening, Tionne was diagnosed with a severe abdominal blockage, necessitating the cancellation of both the Syracuse and Foxwoods performances. She remains in the hospital under medical supervision but is expected to be released tomorrow. The doctor confirmed that this was not food poisoning, but an abdominal blockage.”

Fans are now sending their well-wishes as T-Boz focuses on her recovery, with hopes that she will return to the stage soon.

T-BOZ’s Health History

T-Boz (Tionne Watkins), a member of TLC, has faced significant health challenges throughout her life. She has been open about her struggles, particularly with sickle cell anemia, a genetic blood disorder she was diagnosed with at a young age. Sickle cell anemia can cause chronic pain, fatigue, and various complications, and T-Boz has dealt with its effects while maintaining her music career.

In 2006, T-Boz also revealed that she had been diagnosed with a brain tumor, which she had successfully removed after surgery. Despite these serious health issues, she has remained resilient and continues to perform and work in the music industry.
