Snoop Dogg Clears the Air with DJ Akademiks

Snoop Dogg has stepped forward with a message of unity and understanding.

During a recent broadcast, the legendary rapper called DJ Akademiks to address misconceptions and bring clarity regarding his stance on the polarizing streamer. Snoop expressed his desire to foster peace and collaboration, while Akademiks explained that some of his earlier remarks about the West Coast had been misinterpreted and taken out of context.

“Come on, Ak, let me say this: This is what we need,” Snoop emphasized during their conversation. “Too many times, we see people divided, and I just want to see people come together. You’ve built a beautiful platform that’s inspiring others to do what you’re doing, just like I’ve inspired others. It’s about showing people how to move as a unit instead of against each other. We’ve seen enough of that. For too long, we’ve watched brothers go against each other, and it only leads to death and jail. I don’t like it.”

Snoop, reflecting on his own experiences, added, “I’m an older dude in hip-hop, and I’ve lived through this. What people don’t realize is, I went through a murder trial. I understand what these artists are facing. I was lucky to beat my case and change my life. That’s the example I try to set—by doing the right thing. With these platforms, you guys have the opportunity to guide others in a positive direction. Let’s offer hope, so they don’t feel like their only paths are to prison or worse.”
