Snoop Dogg Honors Tupac with Dispensary & Cannabis Line

Snoop Dogg has launched his first dispensary, debuting a line of cannabis products that pay homage to Tupac Shakur, the man who introduced him to his first blunt. This new venture is marked by a limited edition collection of cannabis products dedicated to the legendary rapper, Tupac Shakur.

The dispensary, situated near LAX airport, had its grand opening ceremony on Sunday, July 14. Snoop Dogg has named the store after his iconic catchphrase, “Smoke Weed Every Day.”

Snoop Dogg Shares How Tupac Shakur Introduced Him to Blunts

The Tupac Shakur strain, part of Snoop Dogg’s Death Row Cannabis brand launched in 2023, holds significant personal meaning for Snoop. Reflecting on Tupac’s posthumous induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, Snoop recounted how Shakur handed him his first blunt back in 1993 at a wrap party for Poetic Justice in LA. “That night, Pac passed me my first blunt,” Snoop shared. “Tupac is the one who got Snoop Dogg smoking blunts.”

According to Forbes, the exclusive Tupac Shakur line will be available in select California dispensaries starting Friday, July 19, with plans to expand to Michigan later this year.

“I looked around, checked the surroundings, and made sure there weren’t any CIA agents,” Snoop recalled in a 2016 interview with Heather B on SiriusXM. He lit up some tissue to test the waters, and when nothing happened, he proceeded to smoke. “I took a few tokes before hearing someone approaching. I quickly put it out and returned to the party,” he added.
