Rihanna Speaks On Asap Rocky Court Trial For 1st Time
Rihanna Seen Leaving Court Amid ASAP Rocky’s Trial
The first week of ASAP Rocky’s assault trial has concluded, bringing several notable moments to the forefront. One particularly intense exchange occurred in court when Rocky’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, clashed with Deputy District Attorney John Lewin. According to legal reporter Meghann Cuniff, the two engaged in a heated argument over Rocky’s defense strategy after the jury had left. Additionally, reports indicate that a witness is expected to testify that Rocky possessed a prop gun on the night he allegedly shot ASAP Relli.
Amid the legal proceedings, Rihanna has been seen offering her support to Rocky, the father of her children. Reporters recently caught up with her as she exited the courthouse, inquiring about how she was holding up. In footage shared by Rolling Stone reporter Nancy Dillon on X, Rihanna responded simply, “I’m good, thank you.” While she refrained from commenting on the case itself, fans were relieved to see her in good spirits.

The singer turned heads with her effortlessly chic ensemble, donning an oversized blazer and leather pants, accessorized with a black clutch and glasses. Her court appearance follows a recent dinner outing with Rocky at Wally’s in Beverly Hills, where the couple attempted to maintain a low profile despite being surrounded by paparazzi. Once again, they chose not to address the ongoing trial. Hopefully, the dinner served as a moment of reprieve for them amidst the mounting legal pressures.
Meanwhile, tensions inside the courtroom have been escalating. Earlier this week, ASAP Relli expressed frustration during questioning by Rocky’s legal team. He grew visibly upset when his Instagram was brought up, citing concerns over death threats. “Why are you showing my Instagram? I’m already getting death threats,” he exclaimed. “People are threatening my daughter—what’s going on here? Because you’re calling me an extortionist, you’re putting my whole life out there. This is getting really annoying. What does this have to do with the case?” Relli also voiced discomfort over Rocky’s presence, stating that he felt like the rapper was “staring” at him throughout the proceedings.
