Rihanna Slated To Attend Asap Rocky Court Case Wednesday
Rihanna is showing her unwavering support for A$AP Rocky as his Los Angeles criminal trial continues. According to sources connected to the case via TMZ, the global superstar is expected to make an appearance at the downtown L.A. courthouse on Wednesday. While plans could change, her presence would undoubtedly create a media frenzy and add another layer of intrigue to the high-profile proceedings.
If Rihanna does attend, she’ll likely be seated among the general public in the courtroom gallery—an unusual sight that’s sure to draw attention. Although the specifics of Wednesday’s court agenda are unclear, her mere presence is likely to spark discussion both inside and outside the courthouse.
Rihanna’s influence has already played a role in the trial. Last week, TMZ revealed that during jury selection, potential jurors were asked about their opinions of the singer and whether they’d purchased her Fenty products. Both the prosecution and Rocky’s legal team, led by Joe Tacopina, are well aware of the potential impact Rihanna’s star power could have, even though jurors are instructed to remain impartial. However, as the saying goes, jurors are only human—especially when it comes to someone as iconic as RiRi.
ASAP ROCKY ALLEGATIONS
The trial revolves around allegations that A$AP Rocky shot his former friend, A$AP Relli, during a heated argument on a Hollywood sidewalk in 2021. Rocky was charged with two counts of felony assault with a firearm after his 2022 arrest at LAX, following a trip to Barbados with Rihanna.
Rocky’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, has firmly denied the allegations, calling Relli’s claims “baseless” and accusing him of attempting to extort the rapper. Despite the severity of the charges, Rocky rejected a plea deal that would have required him to plead guilty to one count of assault in exchange for 180 days in jail and three years of probation.
If convicted, Rocky faces up to 24 years in state prison. Rihanna’s court appearance would not only highlight her loyalty to her partner, but also bring even more public attention to the trial as it unfolds. Today also marks the 9th anniversary of Anti.
