Remy Ma Detained After Courthouse Clash With Murder Victim’s Daughter
Tensions erupt outside courtroom as rapper’s son faces murder charges.
(Queens, NY – July 1, 2025) — Tensions flared outside a Queens courthouse as Grammy-nominated rapper Remy Ma was detained by NYPD officers following a heated confrontation with Jazmin Dior, the daughter of Darius Guillebeaux—a man allegedly murdered by Remy’s 23-year-old son, Jayson “Jace” Scott.
The emotionally charged incident was caught on video and quickly went viral. In the footage, Dior approaches Remy Ma and demands she “go around the corner” to settle their exchange. Remy, standing beside her entourage, can be heard responding, “Come on, beat me up.” Moments later, police appear to place Remy in handcuffs.
The altercation occurred just outside court proceedings in which her son Jayson Scott faces seven criminal charges, including first-degree murder, second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment. Scott and a co-defendant are accused of being involved in the 2021 fatal shooting of Guillebeaux.
This case has deeply divided public sentiment, with many sympathizing with the victim’s grieving family, while others believe in Remy Ma’s son’s potential innocence. Through her legal team, Remy has stated she fully supports her son but has refrained from public comment on the ongoing legal matter.
Jazmin Dior later released a statement expressing frustration over what she views as a lack of remorse from Remy Ma:
“She gets to see her son. I have to visit my father at a grave. That’s not justice.”
It remains unclear if formal charges will be filed against Remy Ma for the incident. At the time of publishing, NYPD has not confirmed whether the rapper will face legal consequences for the confrontation.
Remy Ma, who herself served prison time over a shooting incident in 2007, has long presented herself as a reformed artist and advocate for second chances. This recent controversy now threatens to upend that narrative as her family is pulled back into the criminal justice spotlight.
WorldWide Entertainment TV will continue to follow the developments in this explosive case.
