Raven Symoné shared the heartbreaking news of her father Christopher Pearman’s passing in an Instagram post on Tuesday, October 1. The actress and producer posted a childhood photo of herself alongside her father, accompanied by a heartfelt message.

“My life has been long and abundant,” the 38-year-old Disney star wrote. “And the path I’m on started with a dream. Hope he is watching with a smile on his face… 🕊️#christopherbpearman.”

Friends and colleagues quickly offered their condolences in the comments. Actress Holly Robinson Peete expressed her support, writing, “Raven🙏🏽 💔💔💔💔sending love and healing hugs.” Comedian and actor Kenan Thompson added, “Condolences to you and your family!!! Sending love!!!”

Although Symoné did not provide further details about her father’s passing, she confirmed the news in response to a follower who asked if Pearman had passed away, replying, “Yes ma’am.”

Symoné has kept her relationship with her parents private, and little is known about their family dynamic. However, Pearman played a significant role in her early career, serving as her manager. In a 2010 interview with NPR, Pearman shared that he had stepped down as her manager a few years prior, emphasizing the importance of allowing her to “take the reins” of her career.
