Rapper Julio Foolio Murder Suspects Arrested
The Tampa Police Department announced multiple arrests in connection with the shooting death of Jacksonville rapper Foolio.
Julio Foolio, born Charles Jones II, was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Tampa hotel in the early hours of Saturday, June 23. The Tampa Police Department reported receiving a 911 call about the shooting at around 4:40 a.m., noting that three other individuals were injured.
The rapper had been in Tampa celebrating his 26th birthday. According to his attorney, he was “ambushed” and had been staying in an Airbnb, but was asked to leave when his party exceeded the occupancy limit.
Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters will joined Tampa officials for the announcement at 1 p.m.”Your Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and Tampa Police are announcing the arrests of 3 people in the murder of Charles Andrew Jones II, known as Julio Foolio,” The Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook. Jones was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Tampa hotel on June 23, 2024. Saturday afternoon, JSO SWAT, CPR, and Gang Unit members located and arrested Sean Gathright, 18, Alicia Andrews, 21, and Isaiah Chance Jr., 21.”

Foolio had survived at least three previous shootings in the past four years before being fatally shot in Tampa. He was a member of the Jacksonville gang KTA, which has been in a long-standing feud with the gang ATK, whose most prominent member is Jacksonville rapper Yungeen Ace, real name Kenyatta Bullard.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, KTA stands for “Kill Them All,” while ATK stands for “Ace’s Top Killers.”
