R. Kelly’s Daughter Breaks Down in New Documentary Trailer

R. Kelly‘s family opens up about the impact of his alleged crimes in a new documentary set to release on October 11.

Currently serving time behind bars, R. Kelly faces allegations of racketeering, trafficking, sexual abuse of minors, and other serious charges. Now, the disgraced R&B singer is facing even more disturbing accusations. A trailer for an upcoming documentary, shared exclusively by The Jasmine Brand earlier today, reveals how several of his family members are grappling with his alleged crimes.

Among those featured in the trailer is his ex-wife, Drea Kelly, who becomes emotional as she speaks about the alleged harm he caused not only to her but also to their children. Tearfully, she questions why he would allegedly hurt their little ones after already inflicting harm upon her. Similarly, his daughter Joanne expresses deep sorrow and emotion, detailing how her father’s actions have affected her and the rest of their family. While the trailer doesn’t specify the exact allegations, it provides a glimpse into the pain they’ve endured. The documentary, executive produced by Mann Robinson, is set to premiere on October 11. In the trailer, Joanne explains, “He knows exactly why we can’t have the relationship that we would have liked with him.”

R. Kelly’s Family Reflects on How His Legal Troubles Have Affected Their Lives

“He was my everything,” Joanne continues in another part of the trailer. “For a long time, I didn’t even want to believe that it happened. I didn’t know that even if he was a bad person, that he would do something to me. I feel like that one millisecond completely changed my whole life.”

Joanne also shares her commitment to being honest with her son about his grandfather. Despite this, she makes it clear that she will not be taking her son to visit R. Kelly in prison.
