In a stunning development, R. Kelly’s legal team has filed new court documents alleging a chilling murder-for-freedom plot inside prison walls. The embattled R&B singer, currently serving a 30-year sentence for sex trafficking and racketeering, is reportedly facing escalating threats to his life—threats his lawyers say cannot be ignored.

According to the explosive claims, an inmate named Mikeal Glenn Stine says he was approached by prison officials with a deadly offer: kill R. Kelly and walk free. Stine alleges he was promised immunity from prosecution and told any evidence of the crime would be swept under the rug.

R. Kelly’s motion for immediate furlough from prison is in. His lawyers claim that a Bureau of Prisons official sent a convicted member of the Aryan Brotherhood to murder Kelly behind bars, and had an inmate at Chicago’s MCC steal Kelly’s legal correspondence.

R. Kelly’s attorneys say this is just one example of an escalating pattern of danger inside the prison, with more gang-affiliated inmates allegedly being moved into the facility. The legal team insists that the threats are credible and intensifying, prompting renewed calls for the singer to be placed under home confinement for his safety.

“Mr. Kelly is not safe where he is,” a member of his legal team stated. “The authorities have a responsibility to ensure he is not murdered under their watch.”
