“Queen of the Ring” is a fictional movie that centers on the world of women’s professional wrestling. It tells the story of a young woman overcoming personal struggles and societal expectations to make her mark in the wrestling industry.

The film is written and directed by Ash Avildsen and is inspired by Jeff Leen’s 2009 book “The Queen of the Ring: Sex, Muscles, Diamonds, and the Making of an American Legend,” as well as Burke’s own manuscripts.

“Queen of the Ring” had its premiere at the Buffalo International Film Festival on October 15, 2024, and was also featured at the Portland International Film Festival on October 17, 2024.
