Pusha T Responds to Kendrick Lamar’s Mention on “Euphoria”

The original Drake diss rapper reacts to Kendrick’s rap battle with Drizzy.

Pusha T’s legendary status in the rap world was established long before his famous feud with Drake. However, his notoriety reached new heights with the release of “The Story Of Adidon,” proving that Pusha T is an artist who doesn’t play by conventional rules. He sets the standard in any rap battle, leaving his opponents struggling for an exit. Similarly, Kendrick Lamar has shown his prowess by engaging in a lyrical showdown with Drake.

Recently, Pusha T and No Malice were interviewed by Craig Jenkins of Vulture. In this conversation, Clipse discussed their upcoming album and touched on significant topics in hip-hop. Towards the end of the interview, Jenkins slipped in a question about Kendrick Lamar‘s line in “Euphoria,” where he raps, “let me see you push a T.” Pusha T responded with high praise for Kendrick, stating, “Incredible. Incredible display. Incredible display of battle raps. Listen man, Kendrick …”

Pusha T’s Thoughts

No Malice added, “it was a master class.” These reactions are hardly surprising. Pusha T has repeatedly expressed his disinterest in apologizing to Drake or collaborating with him in the future. It’s likely that Pusha T listened to tracks like “Euphoria” and “Not Like Us” with a sense of triumph. Regardless of personal opinions, it’s undeniable that this beef significantly impacted hip-hop. Many believe we may never witness anything like it again. With Kendrick performing in California today, there’s a possibility that the story isn’t over yet.

DRAKE VS PUSHA T

The feud between Drake and Pusha T, two prominent figures in the hip-hop world, is one of the most talked-about rivalries in recent music history. The conflict has deep roots and involves multiple diss tracks, personal revelations, and intense public scrutiny. Here’s a detailed look at the key events and elements of the feud:

Origins of the Feud

The origins of the beef trace back to the mid-2000s, with underlying tensions between Pusha T’s group, Clipse, and Lil Wayne, who was closely associated with Drake. The issues initially stemmed from allegations of style-biting and brand association, particularly with the BAPE clothing brand.

In 2011, Pusha T released “Don’t F*** with Me,” which many interpreted as a subliminal diss towards Drake. The track was over the beat of Drake’s “Dreams Money Can Buy,” suggesting an indirect attack.

The feud escalated significantly in 2016 when Pusha T released “H.G.T.V.,” containing lines that seemed to target Drake’s ghostwriting allegations. Drake responded with “Two Birds, One Stone,” calling out Pusha T’s drug-dealing past and questioning his authenticity.

“Infrared” and “Duppy Freestyle”

In May 2018, Pusha T dropped “Infrared” on his album *Daytona*, taking direct shots at Drake’s use of ghostwriters, referencing Quentin Miller. Drake quickly fired back with “Duppy Freestyle,” accusing Pusha T of fabricating his drug-dealing past and taking aim at Kanye West, Pusha T’s close collaborator.

“The Story of Adidon”

The most explosive moment in the feud came shortly after, when Pusha T released “The Story of Adidon.” This track revealed that Drake had a secret son, Adonis, with former adult film star Sophie Brussaux. The cover art for the track featured a photo of Drake in blackface, which added a controversial visual element to the diss. “The Story of Adidon” shocked fans and the industry due to its deeply personal content. Drake confirmed the existence of his son on his album *Scorpion*, addressing the situation indirectly.
