Power Book II: Ghost Breaks Viewing Records For Starz Network

The hit series “Power Book II: Ghost” has reached a new milestone on Starz, drawing a record-breaking audience ahead of its highly anticipated Season 4 finale.

According to network data, the latest season is averaging an impressive 10.5 million multi-platform viewers per episode within the first 90 days of its premiere, making it the highest-performing season in the show’s history.

Episode 8, which aired on September 20, demonstrated the series’ growing popularity, achieving a 6% increase in viewership in the three days following its premiere, as reported by Starz.

POWER’S DEMOGRAPHICS

The show continues to resonate strongly with Black households, with Episode 8 ranking as the top cable program for this demographic in major markets like Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Moreover, both Part 1 and Part 2 of Season 4 premiered as the highest-rated cable programs among Black households during their respective debut weekends. To date, the “Power” universe has collectively amassed an incredible 1.6 billion hours watched, according to Starz.

“Power Book II: Ghost,” the first spin-off in the expanded Power universe, continues to explore the concept of “Like father, like son.” In Part 2 of the final season, Tariq (played by Michael Rainey Jr.) finds himself in a situation reminiscent of his late father, Ghost (portrayed by Omari Hardwick), facing a critical decision between leaving the game or taking over.

Blige as Monet Tejada, Cliff “Method Man” Smith as Davis MacLean, Gianni Paolo as Brayden Weston, Woody McClain as Cane Tejada, Lovell Adams-Gray as Dru Tejada, LaToya Tonodeo as Diana Tejada, Alix Lapri as Effie Morales, Larenz Tate as Rashad Tate, Caroline Chikezie as Noma, Lightskinkeisha as Brushaundria Carmichael, and Michael Ealy as Detective Don Carter.

Brett Mahoney serves as the showrunner and executive producer for Season 4. The series is executive produced by Courtney A. Kemp, creator and original showrunner of “Power,” through her production company End of Episode, along with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson via G-Unit Film and Television, and Mark Canton of Canton Entertainment. The show is produced by Lionsgate Television for Starz.
