Pariss EL: Carrying the Soul Torch Forward with Moontown Records Debut
Pariss EL is no stranger to legacy. As a third-generation artist raised in a musically rich household, his mother was once an Ikette — performing as a backup singer for the legendary Ike and Tina Turner. Now, Pariss is forging his own path in the world of neo-soul, blending classic soul sounds with the fresh energy of contemporary R&B.
In a recent exclusive with WorldWide Entertainment TV, Pariss EL opened up about his musical influences, his commitment to the art of songwriting, and the lessons he’s learned about patience and humility in the music industry.
“This isn’t just about putting out music,” Pariss shared. “It’s about honoring those who came before while speaking to what’s real today.”

One of the standout moments in Pariss EL’s journey was performing for Robin Crawford, Whitney Houston’s lifelong friend and close confidante. That performance helped Pariss land a pivotal deal tied to Houston’s inner circle — a career moment he describes as both humbling and life-changing.
Now, Pariss is turning heads again with his latest single “Gonna Stay Friends,” featured on Herb Middleton’s upcoming neo-soul compilation album for Moontown Records, dropping this Friday. Middleton — a respected producer known for his work with Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, and Phyllis Hyman — handpicked Pariss to help lead the next wave of soul revival.
“Working with Herb is surreal. He believes in the music, not just the image,” Pariss said.

Beyond his solo ventures, Pariss EL is also working with Mikey D of Main Source, another major influence in the hip-hop and soul world. Their collaboration aims to unite lyrical storytelling with melodic depth, something Pariss believes is missing in much of today’s commercial music.
“We’re creating something timeless — where hip-hop and soul walk hand in hand.”
A Message for Aspiring Artists
Throughout the interview, Pariss emphasized the importance of patience, authenticity, and supporting fellow artists in a cutthroat industry.
“You can’t rush greatness. Take the time to learn, to fail, to grow. Find the right team that sees your vision.”
