NFL Refutes Claims Drake Was Offered Super Bowl Halftime Show Multiple Times

Earlier this week, Drake’s associate, Mal, claimed that the rapper had been offered the Super Bowl halftime show four times, but he consistently declined the opportunity.

However, NFL sources are now disputing this claim—at least partially. According to Bloomberg, insiders have stated that Drake has not been offered the Super Bowl spot in the last five years, since JAY-Z and Roc Nation took over the show’s selection process.

“There’s a rumor that Drake has turned down the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl multiple times… In fact, one source called it ‘a blatant lie.’”

It’s important to note that these denials only apply to the period since 2019, when JAY-Z took control of the halftime show. Considering the widely reported tension between Drake and JAY-Z, this isn’t entirely shocking. Additionally, while Drake was a dominant force on the charts prior to 2019, this doesn’t rule out the possibility that he may have been offered the gig before that time.
