Napoleon Says Tupac Wouldn’t Choose Drake Over Kendrick

Napoleon, whose real name is Mutah Wassin Shabazz Beale, gives his thoughts on Drake using the voice of Tupac Shakur.

The Outlawz, also known as Outlaw Immortalz, to which Napoleon was a member of during the 90s, knows a thing or two about hip hop beef. He was apart of the infamous east and west coast rap rivalry that ended up costing the lives of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G.

In an interview with Art Of Dialogue, he reveals his thoughts on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef. He believes the use of AI being able to mimic an artist’s voice is “crazy” and agreed with the Tupac estate’s decision to have the song removed. “I think it was kind of corny to do something like that,” said Napoleon. The former rapper also stated that Tupac probably wouldn’t be dissing a Compton rapper anyways especially “A Canadian dude over a Compton dude.”

The use of AI in the music business has been a discussion in the last couple of years and Napoleon thinks that it may be possible that it replaces actual artists. DJ Yella spoke about using AI to create some new Eazy E songs. BG Kocc Out also believed Drake’s use of Tupac’s voice was distasteful.

HISTORY OF THE OUTLAWZ

The Outlawz were formed by Tupac himself and Napoleon joined the group in the early 1990s and became known for his distinctive voice and intense delivery. His stage name, Napoleon, was part of a tradition within The Outlawz where members adopted the names of historical figures, often those associated with rebellion or military prowess.

After Tupac’s death in 1996, The Outlawz continued to release music, but the group never achieved the same level of success without their charismatic leader. Napoleon eventually left the music industry and converted to Islam. He has since dedicated himself to promoting peace and positivity, often speaking about his life experiences and the lessons he has learned.

Napoleon now resides in Saudi Arabia, where he has become an inspirational speaker, sharing his journey from a life of violence and crime to one of spirituality and self-improvement.
