Milagro Gramz Says She’s $10K in Debt as Megan Thee Stallion’s Defamation Trial Reaches Closing Stage

The legal battle between Megan Thee Stallion and blogger Milagro Gramz took a dramatic turn this week as Gramz testified that she is facing severe financial hardship amid the rapper’s defamation lawsuit. Megan is accusing the commentator of spreading false narratives about the 2020 Tory Lanez shooting—claims Gramz denies.

Gramz Testifies She Is Deeply in Debt

Taking the stand, Milagro Gramz revealed that the ongoing lawsuit has left her financially overwhelmed. She told jurors that one of her bank accounts is currently negative $10,000, adding that the mounting legal expenses have made it difficult to care for her family.

“I have an account right now that’s negative $10,000 where I had to worry about how to feed my kids,” she said, according to journalist Meghann Cuniff. Gramz also stated that she lost her $6,300-per-month Stationhead contract because of the controversy surrounding the case.

What Megan Thee Stallion Is Seeking

Megan’s lawsuit claims that Gramz intentionally spread harmful misinformation about the shooting involving Tory Lanez. According to filings, Megan is seeking a wide range of legal remedies, including:

Compensatory damages

Punitive damages

Statutory damages

Attorney’s fees and legal costs

Interest and any additional relief deemed appropriate

The lawsuit also requests a declaratory judgment to address what Megan calls the defendant’s “unlawful behavior,” per ABC News.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Emotional Testimony

Megan also delivered emotional testimony during the trial, stating she has spent over $240,000 on therapy to deal with the aftermath of the shooting and the public narratives surrounding it.

“I felt like nobody cared that I was shot,” she told the court. “Everyone was making jokes about it.”
She added that the online harassment and misinformation pushed her to a dark place:
“There was a time that I genuinely didn’t care if I lived or died.”

Gramz Denies Being Paid for Positive Tory Lanez Coverage

During cross-examination, Gramz addressed claims that she accepted money in exchange for favorable commentary about Tory Lanez. She dismissed the accusation outright.

“I cannot be bought for any price, let alone a measly $3,000,” she said.
She further claimed she had actually sent Tory money while he was incarcerated:
“Tory asked me for money when he went to jail, and I actually sent him money to help him out.”

Closing Arguments Begin This Week

Closing arguments in the defamation case are scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. If jurors do not reach a decision by the end of the day, deliberations will resume on Monday, December 1, after the holiday break.
