Lil Durk Speaks Out Following Arrest Through Prison Call (Audio)

Lil Durk has reportedly addressed his recent arrest during a prison phone call, denying claims of being placed in protective custody.

The Chicago rapper was arrested last month in Florida and faces serious charges, including conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire. After being transported to a Los Angeles facility, Durk entered a not-guilty plea but remains in custody without bond. His trial is currently set for January 7, 2025, although ABC7 reports that it’s “expected to be postponed.”

Despite his legal troubles, Durk appears to be maintaining a positive outlook. A close associate, @900bruhbruh, recently shared audio from a phone call with the rapper. During their conversation, Durk reportedly confirmed he was doing well and denied rumors of being in protective custody. He also shared that he’s being treated respectfully by other inmates.

@900bruhbruh expressed unwavering support in the caption accompanying the post:

“Just got off the phone with my brudda @lildurk he in good spirits staying positive and fighting to get back home to his kids and family. We not glorifying negativity, we’re more than just street guys. That’s actually an understatement—we’re men of honor & code no matter our financial status. Bro hit the Mainline with the rest of our kind… NO PC #FREESMURK #FREETRIGGAROME.”

Fans have been encouraged by the news of Durk’s resilience and continue to advocate for his release.

Durk’s arrest follows the detention of five alleged members of his OTF crew. Prosecutors claim these individuals were hired to retaliate against Quando Rondo for the 2020 murder of King Von. The case also references a 2022 incident in which Quando and his cousin, Lul Pab, were targeted in a shooting at a Los Angeles gas station. While Quando survived, Lul Pab was tragically killed. Authorities further allege that Durk referenced plans for revenge in his music, a point included in the indictment made public earlier this month.

As the legal battle unfolds, fans and supporters await updates on the case while standing firmly behind the rapper.
