This updated indictment accuses the Chicago rapper of conspiring to kill rival Quando Rondo in response to the murder of King Von and reportedly contributing to the death of Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab, in Los Angeles. The Justice Department announced these new charges on Friday, November 8, following an initial indictment based on a criminal complaint in October. Lil Durk is named as the lead defendant, facing two new felony charges.
The superseding indictment lists specific allegations against Lil Durk, including one count of conspiracy, one count of using interstate facilities to commit a murder-for-hire that resulted in a death, and one count involving the alleged use, carrying, and discharge of firearms—including a machine gun—to further a violent crime that led to loss of life. The updated indictment also implicates several others in connection with the August 2022 murder of Lul Pab in Los Angeles.
The individuals charged alongside Lil Durk are 28-year-old Kavon London Grant (“Vonnie” or “Cuz” from Atlanta, Georgia), 33-year-old Deandre Dontrell Wilson (“DeDe” from Chicago, Illinois), 33-year-old Keith Jones (“Flacka” from Gary, Indiana), 33-year-old David Brian Lindsey (“Browneyez” from Addison, Illinois), and 36-year-old Asa Houston (“Boogie” from Chicago, Illinois). All six defendants are expected to appear in Los Angeles court to enter pleas. Lil Durk, who was arrested by federal authorities in Miami, is currently awaiting transfer to Los Angeles without bond.
According to the allegations, the funds used to facilitate the attempted hit on Quando Rondo and the murder of Lul Pab were provided by Lil Durk and his OTF collective and record label. These resources reportedly covered flights, ski masks, hotel accommodations, and other expenses. This complex case remains ongoing, and few details are available on its next steps or when a trial may take place.
