Lil Durk Delivers Emotional Birthday Message From Prison

Lil Durk marked his 33rd birthday with a heartfelt message from behind bars, as the Chicago rapper continues to fight serious legal battles stemming from his 2024 arrest on murder-for-hire charges. The case accuses Durk of involvement in a 2022 attempted hit on fellow rapper Quando Rondo—a violent incident that tragically claimed the life of Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab.

The past year has been especially difficult for Lil Durk, who released his latest album, Deep Thoughts, while incarcerated. Despite numerous case updates over the months, fans have rarely heard directly from the rapper—until now.

On Sunday (October 19), a phone call from prison surfaced online via Kurrco on Twitter, capturing Durk speaking to close friends. Though the audio was faint, his message carried unmistakable emotion and faith.

“My father had briefed me on what’s going on,” Durk said in the clip. “I wanted to let y’all know that I’m proud of y’all, for the sake of Allah. I love y’all. I’m doing better, man. We all got second chances and, you know, I just want to let y’all know that we with y’all one hundred percent. When I get out of here, inshallah, I’mma leave back out. I want to go over there and see y’all and be with y’all. Get y’all brothers all together. I love y’all.”

The message, filled with gratitude and spiritual reflection, offered fans a rare glimpse into Durk’s mindset as he continues to navigate one of the toughest chapters of his life.
