Lil Durk Allegedly Investigated in Murder of Quando Rondo’s Cousin
Lil Durk Under Investigation as Five Men Charged in Murder of Quando Rondo’s Cousin
An indictment recently filed in U.S. District Court accuses five men of orchestrating the August 2022 shooting in Los Angeles as retaliation for the 2020 death of rapper King Von. King Von was fatally shot during a confrontation involving Quando Rondo’s associate, Lul Timm, in Atlanta.
The five men named in the indictment—Kavon London Grant (AKA “Vonnie”), Deandre Dontrell Wilson (AKA “DeDe”), Keith Jones (AKA “Flacka”), David Brian Lindsey (AKA “Browneyez”), and Asa Houston (AKA “Boogie”)—are charged with conspiracy to commit murder for hire. According to court documents, the suspects allegedly used resources from Lil Durk’s OTF (Only The Family) to arrange travel and secure weapons for the attack. However, they mistakenly killed Tyquian Robinson, a cousin of Quando Rondo, instead of their intended target.

In a notable development reported by Tribune, Lil Durk has reportedly been taken into custody by federal authorities in connection with the investigation. Although he is not named as a defendant in the indictment, questions have been raised about OTF’s involvement. Durk has consistently denied any allegations that OTF operates as a gang.

Despite this recognition, opinions about the rapper remain divided. One fan remarked, “They keep giving rappers keys to the city, only to take them back later.” Another commented, “This is what they celebrate? No wonder the streets in Chicagoland stay the way they are. It’s pathetic.”
While many have applauded Durk for his philanthropy, others continue to question the themes in his music, which often reference violence and gang culture. Nonetheless, Durk has emphasized his personal growth and lifestyle changes in recent years. He has also made headlines for helping those close to him, including several friends, embrace Islam.
