Latto Declares Lil' Kim Greatest Of All-Time Female Rapper

The never ending debate of GOAT talk continues with Latto.

Latto is on a press run to promote her new album, ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea,’ as she joined her sister Brooklyn Nikole for Complex. It is well known that Latto has been a fan of hip hop since she was a teenager on Jermaine Dupri’s reality television show. The Rap Game gained popularity for showcasing young talent and providing a platform for emerging rappers to break into the industry. The show ran for five seasons, with each season featuring a new group of contestants and offering viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the music industry and the development of young hip-hop artists.

THE NICKI MINAJ AND LATTO BEEF

She was seen as a huge supporter of Nicki Minaj as a kid rapper, but the two female rappers had a falling out a couple of years ago. In the segment below, Latto is shown praising Lil’ Kim for her fashion sense and lyrical abilities that she believes paved the way for many women in the genre. “She is a GOAT for real because she is a queen off camera,” says Latto and some believe that was a direct dig at Nicki Minaj.

Of course, hardcore hip hop fans dug up old clips with Latto praising Nicki Minaj as the greatest of all time. Someone posted a response to the above clip where Latto stated, “Any girl that doesn’t list nicki from this generation is giving hater.” Fans also see the rivalry between Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj over the years being used in this manner by Latto.
