Kid Cudi Testifies Against Diddy: Reveals 2011 Relationship With Cassie and Alleged Break-In Incident
In a dramatic development in the federal investigation into Sean “Diddy” Combs, rapper and actor Kid Cudi (Scott Mescudi) took the stand and offered bombshell testimony involving singer Cassie Ventura and a disturbing incident that allegedly occurred in December 2011.
During his sworn testimony, Kid Cudi confirmed that he dated Cassie in 2011, following a meeting in 2008. At the time, he believed Cassie was no longer romantically involved with Diddy. “She and Sean Combs had some problems and they weren’t dating anymore,” Mescudi told the court.
Cassie’s Early Morning Plea for Help
The testimony took a shocking turn when Mescudi recounted an early morning phone call from Cassie. At around 5:30 or 6:00 a.m., she asked him to pick her up after Diddy had allegedly discovered their relationship. “She was worried,” Mescudi said, explaining that he responded to her plea for help immediately.
Shortly after, law enforcement arrived at Kid Cudi’s residence in response to a break-in. What he found was unsettling: expensive gifts had been unwrapped, his dog was locked in the bathroom, and his home security cameras had been moved and disabled. “I found out they weren’t working,” he said, emphasizing the sense of vulnerability and suspicion.

AUSA: When you saw Cassie, how did she seem?
Mescudi: Depressed.
AUSA: Did you see Cassie in Connecticut?
Mescudi: Yes. She needed it.
AUSA: Did Mr. Combs call you?
Mescudi: Yes, he hit me a few times?

Mescudi: Called me.— Inner City Press (@innercitypress) May 22, 2025
Confrontation With Diddy
Cudi also disclosed that he had directly called Diddy following the incident. “He said, ‘I’m over here waiting for you,’” he recounted. “I wanted to fight him.” While the outside of his property looked normal upon arrival, the internal disruption was clear. Cudi attempted to confront Diddy but said the situation never escalated physically.
When asked about Cassie’s emotional state afterward, Cudi said she appeared “depressed.” He later visited her in Connecticut because “she needed it,” suggesting ongoing emotional distress related to the incident.
Alleged Harassment and Intimidation
During questioning, Kid Cudi confirmed that Sean Combs continued to contact him afterward. “He hit me a few times,” he said, later clarifying that this meant he called him multiple times.
Cudi’s testimony paints a vivid and troubling picture of the alleged lengths Combs went to in response to Cassie’s relationship with another man. His statements come amid a growing number of allegations against Diddy, involving accusations of abuse, intimidation, and coercion spanning several years.
Ongoing Legal Fallout for Sean “Diddy” Combs
This latest testimony adds to a wave of legal troubles facing Sean Combs, who has been the subject of multiple lawsuits and a federal investigation. As more witnesses come forward, the case continues to unravel, placing one of hip-hop’s most influential figures under intense legal and public scrutiny.
