Katt Williams Buys Former Alabama Military Base For Movies

Katt Williams is taking bold steps to expand his career, unveiling plans to establish a movie studio on a former military base in Alabama.

According to Williams’ publicist, Amy Sisoyev, the actor and comedian has purchased the site, although specific details regarding the purchase price and exact location remain under wraps. Reports suggest the property in question may be Fort McClellan’s Cold War-era barracks in Anniston, which were listed for $1.5 million.

The property, nicknamed “Starships,” boasts impressive features, including 30 concrete buildings with three million square feet of indoor space, 10 barracks housing 20 rooms each, over 90 acres of flat, usable land, and two large gymnasiums.

Connie Alexander, the broker representing the seller, confirmed that the purchase was made through an LLC and shared that Williams visited the site frequently during the acquisition process. “It’s a visionary endeavor, and we’re excited to see how this historic site evolves under his leadership,” Alexander stated.

In a recent interview, Williams revealed that buying the military base fulfilled a longstanding dream of becoming a movie mogul, drawing inspiration from trailblazers like Tyler Perry. “It’s just not fair to put all that pressure on Tyler Perry,” he remarked. “He can only do so much.”

With this ambitious project, Williams is poised to leave a significant mark on the entertainment industry, potentially creating a hub for film production in Alabama according to AI.
